their return flights in order to resell the seats.
4. Counting passenger classes to correspond with passenger totals for revenue
purposes.
5. Special meal requests for each flight are printed , captured in excel and faxed to
catering company.
6. Some stations require manual name lists/un-ticketed/PTA bookings to be
printed 24 hours before their flights depart.
7. Booking requests from offline stations are faxed/emailed, booking are done by
the relevant controller and faxed/emailed back to the outstation.
8. Serve as a helpdesk for agents and passengers.
9. Dealing with irate passenger/agent due to schedule changes, assisting
passenger/agent with alternative flights, arrangements or refunds. Sending
these requests to the supervisor.
10. Manage block space agreements when required.

3. Handle rebates applications to domestic and regional carriers for duty and vacation travel. Apply to relevant airline for staff to obtain lowest fare, advise staff member of reservation number and cost, issue rebate ticket if possible.
4. Refunds of crew tickets - apply for refund for unused tickets to South African Airways Refund Department and ensuring that refund is received.
5. Updating of staff profiles in excel to ensure correct details are in. Loading of
new staff members. Filing completed staff profiles.
6. Compiling Monthly Crew Cost report for the Manager.
7. Filing of rebate applications.
8. Flight Master to be sent daily to SAA revenue department to confirm operation
of flights on a daily basis, this is managed from the daily operations sheet.
9. Daily operations sheet checked against the system – what has been listed by
operations, these are to correspond with the actual flight.
10. Daily sales report – This report is done for all tickets issued in the Control department. It must be done at the end of each day to ensure that the money balances and banked.
11. Manages the Incentive Reward Program. Receives rebate applications, making reservations and ensuring correct information is forwarded to agent. Ensuring that the details are updated in excel and that the ticket allocation is tracked correctly.
12. Rebate induction for new staff members of Airlink.
13. Processing and Filing of all Marketing Rebates – including complaints, prizewinners, sponsorships, educationals, trade exchanges and travel industry reservations/tickets.
14. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.

    Role

    Reporting to the Agricultural Training Supervisor, the successful incumbent will be responsible for providing specialised mobile skills-training to employees and Growers in all Kwa-Zulu Natal cane growing sectors in order to enhance profitable and sustainable sugarcane production in South Africa and the SADC Region.

    Key performance areas of this position include:

        Training agricultural workers in all practical aspects of tractor care and tractor driving as well as calibration of fertilizer distribution equipment
        Removing and disassembling tractor engine, transmission, and clutches, using hoists, jacks, and mechanic's hand tools. Replacing or repairing worn or damaged parts
        Training learners in practical arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, welding of aluminium irrigation pipes and supervisory and basic workshop skills courses, including tractor maintenance to support the Sugar Industry
        Training learners the basic hand skills and use of common hand and power tools used in farm workshops
        Training learners how to set various tractor drawn implements to enhance operational efficiency
        Conducting assessments of all learners after training, marking them and handing them to the supervisor weekly, as portfolios of evidence of the training
        Training learners in selected sugarcane husbandry aspects to complement the mechanical skills offered
        Preparing equipment and other material required for doing specific skills training courses
        Keeping accurate records on courses conducted and does follow-up on these courses in order to minimise response time to any queries.
        Collecting all data required for certification of learners in the field in an efficient manner, completing the required attendance register and ensuring that the customer completes the required feedback form to ensure authenticity of attendance and certification
        Monitoring the maintenance of the vehicle assigned
        Liaising with employers on their training requirements and adapting the course where necessary to provide these requirements
        Advising management of any changes in training requirements on farms

    The Requirements

        Proficiency in isiZulu, and able to read speak and write other Nguni languages

        A Diesel/Motor Mechanic N2 qualification or equivalent;
