Job Title: Specialist C5––Transaction/ Switch (2 x Positions)

Summation

The successful candidate will be responsible to provide financial switch specialist service to the user community through the use of ITL processes and procedure in regards to providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the database, assessment and implementation of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

•Evaluates user request for new or modified program, such as for financial services
•Maintain systems and platforms
•Configure, install and maintain necessary solutions to provide an environment to run production applications and perform development
•Provide feedback to the relevant role players as and when necessary
•Ensure that problems and incidents are resolved within SLA and OLA requirements
•Compile statistics and reports on IT Postbank Transaction and Switch Provide Expert Consultation/Advice
•Design solutions
•Conduct an impact study to determine the possible effect on the current-and associated systems
•Complete consultation actions within allocated times frames
•Identify the information/resolution required by the relevant role players
•Compile a final recommendation report for the implementation of the actions and its requirements
•Archive the final report for future reference purposes in accordance with the documentation management system requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS

•Full credit bearing National Diploma (NQF 5) in: Information Technology
•Full credit bearing Bachelor Degree (NQF 6) in: Information Technology, computer science or commerce will be an advantage
•At least 5 years applicable experience (Diploma)
•At least 2 years applicable experience (Degree)
•Support and operational experience in the financial switch environment
