Regional ISO Project Auditors at South African Post Office in Witwatersrand



Job Title: Regional ISO Project Auditors
Job Location: (Witwatersrand Region x 03 Positions, Northern Region x 03 Positions,

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         These functions are only on a temporary basis for participation in the project and employee’s will return to their old positions after completion of the project
·         Employee’s can only apply for positions in the region where they are currently functioning in
·         There will be no extra remuneration whilst being on this project
·         Employee’s will be required to travel extensively in the region and work beyond normal working hours

Key Responsibilities:

·         Perform ISO audits in Mail Business in the regions which will include Transport and Logistics, Mail Processing, Delivery Management, Revenue Protection, International Business, Sales and Customer Services, Philatelic Services, Securemail and RCC/NCC.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications and Experience:
·         Grade 12
·         Should have successfully completed the QMS (ISO) 3 week training course which should have included the following modules: ISO standards, writing procedures and auditing
·         Previous experience in conducting quality audits
·         Code 08 driver’s license
·         Essential Computer literacy (MS Office)

Money Transfer Services Manager at South African Post Office in Pretoria


Job Title: Manager: Money Transfer Services
Reports to: Senior Manager: Money Transfer services

Over view
To facilitate, direct and integrate cash flow management regarding the transfer of all money transfer products and to be responsible for compilation of procedures and policies regarding money transfer products.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Manage the following modules as the financial system owner:
-Money & Postal Order, Cash on Delivery, Agency Business, Pension pay-out, Lotteries, Customs and Treasury
·         Ensure accurate accounting in financial statements for all treasury products
·         Update and develop financial policies and procedures for money transfer products
·         Ensure electronic bank statements are received and uploaded to SAP correctly; and that the main accounts balance to bank statements
·         Reconcile deposits made by branches and cashbooks
·         Reconcile all electronic payments of PO Box and Private Bag rental
·         Accounting for all deposits made by Branch Managers
·         Weekly reconciliation of bank and postlink files to identify discrepancies that may have occurred
·         Responsible for daily electronic transfers from the Post Office bank account into External Clients bank account (+-R 60 million daily) and daily cash flow managing. Responsible for delivering daily statements to external clients
·         Manage social grant advances received from Government agencies and reconciliation of payments
·         Responsible for the financial settlement of daily counter transaction between Post Bank and the South African Post Office
·         Generate meaningful account statements drawing on combination of manual and automated systems to effect accurate payments and debt collection in respect of money transfer products.
·         Compile budget annually, and manage approved budget monthly
·         Reconcile designated GL accounts, and resolve line items accordingly, and clearing GL accounts within benchmarks
·         Ensure adequate management and development of money transfer staff, performance management
·         Ensure the efficient management, control and compliance of function / resources in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, fraud prevention and risk management principles, corporate governance, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations, etc

Job Requirements/ Knowledge:
·         Financial Degree B. Comm degree (NQF L5/6)
·         Five years financial/accounting experience in a corporate environment
·         SAPO Product knowledge
·         Accounting procedures
·         Knowledge of the FINSAP, SAPO Point of Sale and Central/Data Base system
·         Electronic banking system
·         Third party agency clients and products including contracts
·         Computer literacy
·         Operational procedures
