Minimum requirements:

             BTech. or equivalent degree in Public Finance and Accounting and busy with Master studies (Junior Lecturer)
             Master’s degree in Accounting/Cost and Management Accounting with Public Sector related undergraduate qualification (Lecturer).

Core Functions

             Provide quality teaching and learning with technology in Public Finance and Accounting on all levels.
             Responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning.
             Compiling and updating of lecturing material.
             Participate in WIL component (simulation).
             Compile and maintain quality study guides, subject files and other TLT materials.
             Participate in subject and curriculation committees.
             Participating in departmental, faculty and institutional initiatives.
             Liase with industry on subject level, regarding curricul, visits, research and innovation.
             Participate in research activities.
             Lead and participate in community engagement projects.

The Faculty of Economics and Finance has a permanent position for Senior/Lecturer: Economics at the Ga-Rankuwa Campus.

Minimum requirements:

             Masters or Doctorate degree in Economics or relevant qualification
             At least 5 years teaching, research and/or industrial experience in economics at a tertiary level will be required.
             Experience in research and mentoring of postgraduate students will be a strong recommendation.
             Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and computer skills as well as the ability to work with students, conduct workshops, seminars, etc. are required.
             Quantitative skills (e.g. statistics for economists or mathematics for economists).
             Knowledge of econometric and statistical packages e.g. E-VIEWS, STATA or SPSS.
             Registration with a professional body a recommendation.

Core Functions

             Presenting lectures and assessing students in economics subjects
             Responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning.
             Actively participate in research and community service projects
             Industry liason and involvement in the development of a new curriculum.
             Supervision of postgraduate students
             Present evening classes and/or Saturday classes as part of the normal workload if the need arises.

The Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, Department: Engineering Foundation has a one year temporary position for Junior Lecturer at the Pretoria Campus (applicants should be available any time between 08h00 – 17h00 daily from Monday to Friday, depending on the timetable).

Critical Performance Areas:

             Presenting lecturers for Engineering students (Extended)  doing Mechanics I
             Taking responsibility for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning, including the development of a new curriculum
             Evidence of ability to carry out research and publish academic papers
             Participating in community service projects and research projects of the faculty/ department
             Liaising with other sections and industry.

1.            Minimum Requirements

             BTech /B Eng/ BSc Honours in the following Engineering Field: Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical and Mechatronics.

2.            Experience and Skills

             1-3 Years relevant teaching/tutoring experience is needed.
             Excellent Communication and presentations skills.
