Job Title: Fit Controller

REPORTS TO: REVENUE MANAGER
DIVISION: INVENTORY & REVENUE CONTROL DEPARTMENT
LOCATION: S A AIRLINK BUILDING, GREENSTONE HILL OFFICE PARK, EMERALD BOULEVARD, GREENSTONE HILL, MODDERFONTEIN

Purpose

Process IT and Group Reservations through to ticket issuance and change requests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

1. The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
2. Extensive knowledge of relevant CRS (Computer Reservation System).
3. A Travel and Tourism Diploma will be an added advantage.
4. A minimum of 3 years working experience within the Airline/Travel industry is required.
5. Ticketing and fares experience is essential.
6. Must be computer literate on Microsoft Excel and Word.
7. Must have good customer, filing and organisation skills.
8. Must be able to work weekends on a roster basis.
9. Will attend training as and when required to do so.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Managing all internal and external IT fare transactions
2. Assist with yearly update of IT Fares and distribution to relevant FIT Holders
3. Evaluation of FIT holders’ support
4. Liaising with domestic and international travel agents and tour operators regarding IT fares and the availability of related inventory.
5. Maintain booking grid and/or “Q” system for database of FIT bookings
6. Liaise closely with the Marketing Department and FIT Contracts and Fares Controller regarding the status of Tour Operators.
7. Assist the Group Controllers with Group Reservations and confirmations when requested.
8. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as
laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety
Standards.
9. Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.
