ROLE SUMMARY
- To assist the Pharmacy manager in leading the administrative aspects of the Pharmacy; managing daily activities and longer term strategic focus areas to provide excellent service delivery, operational efficiencies and operational growth.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with the management of pharmacy financials while understanding the financial fundamentals of the hospital business
- Effective management and audit compliance of the Netcare stock system policies and procedures relating to ethical, surgical and third party stock
- Ensure operational efficiency including the management of operational activities
- Timeous handling of medical aid rejections and debt collection as per policies
- Overseeing the daily cashing up/banking and completing the required documents
- Follow the month-end process and complete reports to send to head office
- Daily and monthly admin duties including:
oPharmacy rosters
oHands-on administration
oDaily purchasing
oPreparation of all aspects of stocktaking and cyclical stock counts
oCapturing and verifying stock take data
oAttending meetings
- Engaging an enthusiastic team who are passionate about service delivery
- Managing CPE aspects of the business
EDUCATION
- Matric
- B.Com degree or relevant, equivalent qualification (or studying towards a B.Com degree)
- Healthcare related qualification Printed copies of this document are uncontrolled and must be destroyed after use
- Experience in Pharmacy or Hospital environment would be an advantage
- Financial knowledge and understanding
- Knowledge of GPP
- Marketing and merchandising knowledge related to a retail pharmacy
