Purpose of Role:

Liaise with business to formulate business specifications and functional descriptions to meet Capitec Bank’s Acquiring business requirements, including the Capitec Bank ATM, POS and ATM monitoring system. Compile and execute test cases to ensure delivery is according to business requirements. Continuous business and industry research to guide the critical evaluation of new and existing software / application solutions.

Requirements:

    National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
    Relevant 3 year degree / diploma in IT (business application analysis, design, development, computer science, computer systems technology) OR A formal tertiary qualification (certificate / diploma) in Business Analysis (i.e. through FTI) would be advantageous.
    At least 2 – 3 years’ experience within the ATM environment, with specific exposure to transaction interfaces (e.g. Postilion switch)
    At least 2 - 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst (BA) within the ATM transaction switching environment would be ideal
    Basic Project Management experience would be ideal
    Must have knowledge & understanding of:
        IT systems development processes
        Business analysis and design
        Standards and governance
        Testing practices
        Debit and credit card business and payment processing (authorization, clearing and settlement) fundamentals
        ATM client transactions
        Agilis ATM software
        ATM Value chain
        ATM Monitoring systems
        Financial principles in the Banking Industry
        EMV specifications
    Detailed knowledge of the following would be advantageous
        Banking system principles
        MasterCard M/Chip specifications
        Symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic fundamentals
        Binary and hexadecimal number systems

        The ISO8583 standard
        Agilis 91x protocols
        VIS (Visa Integrated Chip Card Specifications)

An exciting opportunity exists within the MIS team at Capitec Bank.  The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain and report on the Capitec MIS infrastructure delivering data to the many teams within Capitec bank, adhering to the internal SDLC and development methodologies with quality in mind driven by the MIS Architect.  You will be responsible for technical specification documents, database ETL, data warehousing and report development.

Requirements:

    National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
    A relevant 3 year tertiary qualification (degree / diploma) and 3 years proven experience within management information systems / systems analysis / data warehouse / SQL

OR

    Relevant MCTS or MCITP qualifications in SSIS,SSRS,SSAS and\or data warehousing

OR

    5 years proven experience within management information systems / system analysis environment.
    Proven experience in:
    SQL Server 2008 and / or 2012 business intelligence tools
    SSIS – minimum medium level
    SSRS, SSAS – minimum beginner level
    Proven experience in following would be advantageous:
    Big data experience (Exadata), IBM, Netezza, Microsoft PDW
    VB Script
    .Net (C# or VB)
    Must have detailed knowledge of:
