Tourism KwaZulu-Natal is the Tourism Authority for the
province of KwaZulu-Natal established by the kwaZulu- Natal Tourisms Act of
1999 (as amended in 2002).Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, a statutory authority Responsible
for the promotion, marketing, and development of tourism in KwaZulu-Natal,
invites applications from suitable qualified people for the following
position: Tourism Information Officer ,
Purpose: To provide tourist information support services,
Key Result Areas:
·
Provide tourists and potential tourists with
accurate and comprehensive tourist information
·
Assist
with the process of maintaining and further developing Tourism KwaZulu-Natal’s
network of websites and tourism information databases
·
provide a tourism information service at tourism
trade and consumer shows and for cruise liners which dock in Durban
·
Develop and manage stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:
·
A degree/diploma in Tourism or relevant
equivalent qualification
·
A Tourist Guiding Certificate will be an added
advantage
·
At least 2 years’ experience in tourism
information environment, knowledge of tourism, particularly relating to the
province of KwaZulu-Natal.

·
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·
Customer service orientation organizational and
problem soloing skills
·
Computer literacy
·
Attention to detail.
