The SURVEY ENGINEER performs all survey assignment in the office and in the field, as defined by the project manager or operations manager.
The position demands responsibility and necessity to set example. Initiative is a pre-requisite in the role of all duties, whether in the lead or supportive role.


    Execute tasks related to positioning and navigation projects according to operations instructions.
    Mobilization and installation of equipment onboard vessels and rigs.
    Interfacing and troubleshooting of positioning and survey equipment.
    Ensure all safety standards are met and followed.
    Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the company Management System on Quality and HSE related issues.
    Reporting to Operations Manager.
    Working closely with other field staff offshore, with Project Manager and the Workshop Engineers onshore on project basis.

This position will seek to initiate the restoration of the Twee River catchment through focused interventions around alien invasive species management, rehabilitation, awareness and better practice management on private land. The project manager must have an interest in working with freshwater aquatic habitats and riparian landowners and the challenges facing these areas. Alignment with broader stakeholder groups and related initiatives (WWF Sustainable Fruit project) within this target landscape would be essential towards reaching of the project outputs.

Responsibilities:

    Manage the alien invasive (fish and plant) clearing contracts and contractors
    Co-ordinate training of contractors and workers
    Alignment with relevant sustainable fruit and water stewardship initiatives
    Implement the WWF Sustainable Fruit project, including development of farm management plans around better practice and freshwater management
    Implement CapeNature’s Stewardship methodology
    Implementation of freshwater and species awareness programmes
    Contribute towards development of larger conservation plan for catchment
    Preparation of progress and financial reports
    Implement relevant policies, directives and regulations

Requirements:

    An appropriate tertiary qualification in Environmental or Ecological Management, Nature Conservation, Agricultural Extension or equivalent qualification
    At least 3 – 5 year’s previous experience in extension work with landowners, project management, contract management and working within a multi stakeholder project
    Previous experience in alien vegetation control and stewardship methodology
    Knowledge of the Working for Water / Wetlands Programs
    Conversant with Occupational Health and Safety legislation
    Excellent report writing and computer skills, with minimum requirements proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and ArcView
    A valid Code EB driver’s license with own transport
    Ability to work under pressure
    Physical fitness to perform duties and inspections
    Bilingualism in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape Province (fluency in Afrikaans is essential)

Requirements:     Nursing Qualification i.e. Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse with at least 3 to 5 years experience (exposure to Case Management in a hospital or funder environment is preferable).
Clinical competency skills (ability to extract relevant data relating to acuity level of cases)
Basic understanding of clinical terminology and a certificate in anatomy and physiology.
Clinical coding (having achieved industry competency level).
Comprehensive knowledge of funder contracts, funder rules, co-payments and exclusions.

Reporting to the GM: Group Communications, your key performance areas include:


    Responsible for a portfolio of shows appearing on e.tv Channels
    Responsible for the communication around the general e.tv Channels
    Adhere to the administration required including consistency of communication and submission of weekly status reports
    Keep financial records of different projects under his/her portfolio
    Manage database and information about the different projects in their portfolio
    Prepare Communication strategies for the Channel and the different shows
    Write publicity material for portfolio of shows
    Work closely with the photographer in helping to facilitate onset photography as well as other photo opportunities
    Plans, coordinate and directs activities with the goal to solicit strategic media coverage


Media Relations

    Establish professional relationships with key media
    Draft publicity plans for the shows in portfolio
    Pitch feature ideas to journalists
    Deal with media requests for interviews and pictures
    Send publicity material to media and following these up


Stakeholder Relations

    Create and maintain the public image of the celebrities associated with e.tv shows
    Cultivate a genuine, working relationships with key entertainment industry stakeholders e.g. image consultants, photojournalists and corporate
    Establish and maintain strategic relationship with key groups such as producers, actors and other stakeholders associated with the shows


Events

    Coordinate e.tv celebrity invitations to strategic entertainment industry events
    Ensure careful planning and management, media and celebrity attendance and post event media coverage
    Deal with e.tv celebrities’ requests at the strategic entertainment industry events e.g. screenings and promotional events e.t.c.
    Coordinate e.tv celebrities for Corporate Social Investment projects
    Media event Management
    Liaise with the e.tv Events team to organise events held by the department
    Distribution of event invites –either electronically or physically
    Collate RSVPs from media contacts
    Set-up Talent releases: coordinate bios, press releases, photos, EPKs, press kits


Online

    Monitor website material for shows in your portfolio
    Assisting the online team by supplying fresh copy from shows in your portfolio
    Update the press office
    Increase brand recognition by creating partnerships in the online community and blogosphere


Requirements:

    3 year diploma/degree in public relations or communications
    3 – 5 years publicity/public relations experience

Purpose

Key accountabilities:
•    Prompt reaction to clients’ telephonic or e-mail  queries and requests
•    Research on scores and instruments on catalogue and internet, as needed
•    Perform daily accurate transfer of card catalogue to digital catalogue (InMagic Genie)
•    Ensure that all parts of a music score are numbered and marked, and issued and returned in good order
•    Ensure that all music instruments are safely and correctly maintained, stored and moved and that the instrument lift is functional
•    Ensure suitable transport for instruments
•    SAP administration such as providing quotes, issuing packing slips/insurance and doing returns
•    Basic music library administration such as packaging of outgoing music scores, following up late returns, accurate filing of parts/scores in mother covers, repairing scores and music folders where necessary, correct shelving of music scores and loss management
•    Maintain Financial Assets register and do regular stock counts in accordance with schedules and SABC procedures
•    Compile monthly statistics
•    Adhere to SABC Media Libraries SOPs, SABC Archive Policy, SLA’s, South African Broadcasting Act, South African National Archival Act and International and SA Copyright Law
•    Compliance with industry best practice
•    Satisfactory liaison with Security, Insurance and Engineering departments and external suppliers

Minimum Requirements
•    B.Mus/Diploma in Music or B.Bibl/Diploma in Library and Information Services
