Introduction... The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the loyalty program throughout product and service lifecycles to increase share of wallet spend and drive customer retention, maximising the program value.The incumbent will be expected to formulate and implement ‘best practice’ and ‘best-in-class’ member retention plans that drive member retention initiatives.

Minimum Requirements... 

Diploma / Degree in Marketing or Communications at NQF level 7

A minimum of 5 - 7 years experience at management level

Successful track record in a frequent flyer/loyalty program environment

Data analysis experience

Sound experience in market research

Job Specification... 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Develop and implement a member activation plan within Voyager
    Formulate and execute a member retention plan in line with pre-identified member segments
    Drive retention performance improvement through multi-channel initiatives
    Benchmark key features of airline and non-airline loyalty or frequent flyer programmes with Voyager's offering
    Execute detailed and innovative customer-focused program initiatives to acquire, engage and retain members
    Track, analyse and generate customer insights to co-ordinate development of programme features
    Work with Voyager Marketing and other functional areas to identify and develop program features that would create member and organisational value
    Recommend policy and programme changes to increase retention opportunities
    Contribute to formulations of divisional strategies and policies
    Prepare value propositions and business rules for programme initiatives
    Develop and implement standard operating procedures in line with program enhancements
    Lead cross-business loyalty efforts to increase usage, experience and engagement with SAA Voyager program and help reduce churn
    Drive initiatives to improve ‘ease of use' for customers in order to increase loyalty and spend per customer segment
    Analyse and manage program tiers, membership types, activities and points - defining the appropriate business rules in conjunction with other functional areas
    Develop and lead the organisation-wide application of the criteria for the management of elect cards, to safeguard the value and integrity of the programme
    Lead data collection and integration efforts to improve the current member database for improved segmentation, effective campaign management and opportunity to differentiate services per segment
    Lead data analysis efforts to establish the effectiveness of member acquisition and retention strategies
    Partner with SAA System & Support to specify required system enhancements for effective programme and member management
    Prepare regular reports of frequent flyer and loyalty programme trends, programme enhancement and utilisation, member acquisition and retention
