The purpose of the job is to manage and execute effective and efficient registration services to prospective and registered students.
Requirements:
An appropriate bachelor’s degree (NQF7)
At least three (3) years university experience in the Department of Admissions and Registrations
Extensive knowledge of the regulations pertaining to all tertiary registrations and admissions
Knowledge and ability to do exemptions and historic course updating
Ability to improve systems and processes
Computer literacy
Ability to provide leadership, motivate and develop staff
Proof of speed, accuracy, attention to detail and proficiency in the use of languages
Effective communication, interpersonal and management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
§ Due to the nature of the job, employee is expected to work before and after hours and on Saturdays as per the job demands
§ A work related test will be conducted
Recommendations:
Knowledge of the University rules governing admissions and registration
Any other one year or equivalent supervisory qualification
Duties:
Supervision and development of personnel
Check the correctness of applications
Registration of students
Student administration
Liaising with other sections and stakeholders
Dealing with enquiries and advice to students, personally, in writing or telephonically regarding, registrations and study matters
