REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and/or Natural Science.
- Extensive experience and/or exposure in a science and policy environment.
- Knowledge and application of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999) (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
- Computer skills in MS Office software.
- A valid driver's licence.
DUTIES:
- The incumbent will be responsible to coordinate, monitor and evaluate Research and Development (R&D) in the forestry sector and impact analysis.
- Provide support and input in the formulation of research and technology models to facilitate innovation and collaborative working relationships within Government.
- Develop a broad research, development and technology agenda to assist the
- Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) to achieve its mandateon sustainable forestry management
- Identify and provide support for new and emerging innovative technologies in the sector. Monitor and evaluate National research programmes and analyse the impact.
