Introduction... SAA seeks to appoint a suitably qualified individual into the above position. The incumbent will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the PROS Revenue Management Systems. Additionally, project administration skills are required for the implementation and/or upgrading of Revenue Management System modules.

Minimum Requirements... 

Grade12 or equivalent qualification at NQF level 4

Diploma / Degree in the Commercial or Business field at NQF level 7

Experienced user of the Amadeus Altea Reservation and Inventory system essential

A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience within a commercial airline environment of which 2 years must have been in Revenue Management

Job Specification... The incument will be responsible for amongst others, executiving the following responsibilities:

    Maximise revenue being responsible for the effective system administration function of the PROS Revenue Management Systems (RMS) comprising of the following modules:
    o PRMS - Revenue Management System
    o GRMS - Group Revenue Management System
    o MVM - Market valuation Model
    o NRPS - Network Revenue Planning System
    o Analytics - Revenue Management Analytical and Reporting Tool
    Define and maintain the different system parameters and their rules in the different RMS modules
    Ensure day-to-day monitoring, maintaining and controlling the data integrity of RMS modules
    Maintain, monitor and testing of Revenue Management Systems in order to maximize the revenue of SAA
    Maintain detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes
    Control user access to RMS modules
    Provide and coordinate system-level support for Revenue Management System users
    Produce validated and credible reports based on the analysis of data and to assist with their interpretation
    Interact with Revenue Management Yield Specialists and Pricing Specialists to provide the optimum use of the tools/reports in RMS modules and ensure that all such tools/reports are fully utilized
    Interact with IT, Pricing and Revenue Management staff to optimally manage activities
