JOB TITLE: DEPUTY MANAGER: PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
(ASSISTANT DIRECTOR LEVEL)
Chief Directorate: Human Capital Management
SALARY:R252 144 per annum
CENTRE:Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS:
An appropriate three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with extensive experience in Human Resource Management.
Core competencies:
Quality and spectrum of advice, Planning and execution, Client orientation and
customer focus, Communication. Technical competencies: Performance Management System, Research, Policy analysis and development, Public Service Regulations.
DUTIES:
Coordinate the compilation and quality assure performance agreements and
assessments:
Ensure all performance agreements and assessments are compiled and signed.
Conduct quality assurance on compiled performance agreements and assessments.
Update performance agreements and assessments on database.
Manage the implementation of performance management incentives: Ensure the maintenance of pay progression database.
Check the correctness of the payment made.
Facilitate the development of performance improvement plans’ annual circle: Analyze performance
agreements and assessments reports.
Interact with relevant supervisors regarding individual poor performance and development of performance improvement plans.
Recommend training intervention to Human Resource Development.
Make follow-up on the implementation of the performance improvement plans.
Ensure implementation of the management system:
Coordinate year programs for performance management workshops.
Evaluate the effectiveness of performance management workshops and make recommendations.
