Job Title: Human Resources Consultant

Introduction
An opportunity exists for a results driven professional who is passionate about quality, service delivery and people management. The abovementioned position is currently available in the Human Resources department of Metropolitan Health based at our Cape Town offices.
The Incumbent will be responsible for:
Partnering with the Human Resources (HR) team and business unit (BU) stakeholders to ensure that strategic HR objectives are met
Facilitating all people processes in the employment and business cycle, in line with policy and legislation
Facilitating induction and on-boarding by introducing new employees to our internal policies and procedures and assisting new employees with the completion of all on-boarding documentation
Facilitating the implementation of employee engagement initiatives within the BU i.e. Health and Wellness Programmes, Organisational Development initiatives as well as Social Committee activities
Actively providing the BU with development initiatives through interactions with the learning and development department
Facilitating all performance management processes inclusive of guiding new employees on understanding the policy, ensuring that quarterly performance reviews are conducted and processed and maintaining accurate records
Supporting management in probation reviews and provide appropriate recommendations
Conducting regular risk assessments in terms of leave, absenteeism, industrial relations and compliance of personal files
Assisting and advising management on Labour Relations matters, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed and prepare and issue notifications of disciplinary hearings
Assisting with recruitment and selection when needed
Effectively managing operational HR processes and actively participates in client deliverables
Compiling monthly reports for the BU on all aspects of the HR discipline
Responsible for all human resources administration and adhoc projects
The applicant should meet these requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant qualification (Industrial Psychology, Bachelor Social Sciences etc.)
3-5 years' experience in Human Resources Management
Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
Broad HR knowledge – understands the structure, strategy and objectives of HR and the impact this has on the role and function
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Competencies Required
Demonstrable hands-on action orientation and planning track record
Customer Service – balancing the interests of a variety of clients
Service Motivation - creates and sustains an organizational culture which encourages others to provide the quality of service essential to high performance.
Planning and Organizing – systematically develops plans, prioritizes and manages resources in order to accomplish business goals within defined timelines.
Commitment to on-going personal learning in continuously changing environment
