Job Title: BI Systems Designer

    Introduction

    The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the design of the Metropolitan Retail BI environment and to extend and maintain the design to reflect the changing business environment.

    The Incumbent will be responsible for:

    Designing, enhancing and maintaining the Metropolitan Retail data warehouse;

    Quality assurance of solutions proposed by team to ensure correct use of the warehouse data structures;

    Quality assurance of BI applications to ensure optimum use of the toolset;

    Propose and recommend design solutions for business intelligence applications;

    Provide support to Business Intelligence team on data warehouse component usage;

    Provide support on BI team design solutions.

    The applicant should meet these requirements:

    A relevant diploma or B-degree in Information Technology (NQF level 6/7);

    A minimum of 10 years Information Technology experience;

    Experience in systems analysis or systems design;

    Experience in data modeling;

    Experience in data warehousing;

    Strong understanding of dimensional processing;

    Strong understanding of implementation of Business Intelligence applications;

    Strong understanding and knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.
