    Introduction

    Metropolitan Distribution Brokers,GIC,has a challenging field staff position for a dynamic and energetic individual who is willing to accept responsibility and accountability to fill the vacancy at our office in Queenstown.The purpose of the role is to promote Metropolitan GIC obtaining and retaining high quality new business from an increasing broker base within our target market.

    Location

    The above-mentioned position is currently available at our GIC business unit based at our office in Queenstown.

    The Incumbent will be responsible for:

    Brand Management

    Indentifying the needs and supporting a portfolio of Brokers/clients

    Development and implementation of marketing plan

    Continously analysing competitor startegies

    Efficient application of technology and updating investment knowledge in the business

    Training and implementing an upliftment programme for Brokers

    Financial and profit accountability for the portfolio of Broker business that is managed

    Processing and issuing new business

    Networking with brokers and customers to secure good business and delivering after sales services

    Management of payament facilities for business and opening of new facilities

    Maintaining productive levels with acceptable quality of business and managing the risk of such business

    Canvassing and recruiting new brokers

    The applicant should meet these requirements:

    Have an industry recognised qualification as an added advantage.Financial degree or NQF 5 in Wealth Management or equivalent qualification

    Be FAIS compliant or have the ability to become FAIS compliant

    At least 3 years selling/marketing experience in the insurance /financial service industry

    Strong ability to work with Corporate Bankers

    Excellent communication skills

    Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport

    PC Literacy ,eg Microsoft packages

    Single investment experience will be an added advantage
