    Introduction

    Metropolitan Life (Direct Writers) has a vacancy for an individual who is results oriented and a true starter-finisher and is able and willing to accept responsibility and accountability. The successful candidate will report to the Area Manager of Direct Writers-Gauteng South Vaal.

    PLEASE NOTE: The branch office is in Vereeniging.
    The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate to Vereeniging

    The purpose of this role is to manage your specific geographic area in such a way that the key business driver (KBD) standards are met or exceeded in your branch.

    The Incumbent will be responsible for:

    * controlling of the operation expense budget (e.g. over-financing, commission, losses, NTU's and expenses).
    * Implementing the business plan developed by the Area Manager in your branch.
    * Managing the Key Performance Areas (KPA's) of subordinates.
    * Entrenching the vision, mission and values (culture) within your branch.
    * Developing new sales opportunities and increasing penetration levels.
    * Identifying trends, opportunities, threats, and environmental influences.
    * Handling key accounts.
    * Recruiting and selecting high quality Sales Consultants.
    * Maintaining satisfactory debt and exposure to risk levels of Sales Consultants
    * Optimising production across the product range through Sales Consultants.

    The applicant should meet these requirements:

    * Matric and a minimum of 3 years tertiary education
    * Tertiary education at NQF level 5 – (preferably 3 years diploma/degree)
    * A relevant financial qualification (preferably a Fellowship of FPI*
    * FAIS accredited NQF LEVEL 5 Qualification with a minimum of 60 credits
    * Meeting FAIS "Fit and Proper" must have 60 Credits
    * (internal staff) Must be productive, CPM, >R5 000-00,
    * (internal staff) Conservation >80%, PCR >80%.
    * Understanding of the new world of work in terms of utilisation of technology
    * Commitment and desire to follow a career in management
    * A valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle
