RECOVERABLE PROJECTS SUPERVISOR

(HAY BAND-M)

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
To efficiently manage the Billing Process for Recoverable Projects of Rand Water’s Contract through supervision,monitoring and controlling of the financial and administrative aspects of the process, reporting and facilitating debt recovery.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Manage the billing and collections of Rand Water’s revenue streams
Manage the credit extended to Rand Water customers
Manage the provision of bad debts and bad debts written off
Effective management of credit risk
Effective management for customer satisfaction
Effective management of project billing
Effective management of sundry billing
Ensure Rand Water’s Contracts/Projects complies with IFRS, Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulations and other regulating legislations.
Managing and solving contractual related problems that could result in breakdown in the collection of debt.
Manage and oversee legislative compliance and deviations in terms of contracts/agreements for Rand Water.
Ensure contract files are maintained safely with all the relevant supporting documentation
Compile and submit amonthly report of all contract supplier progress payments, Retention balances and contract balance value of each contract supplier

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Matric plus B.Com Accounting or National Diploma (Accounting)
Minimum of four years working experience in an accounting environment with similar responsibilities
Minimum of two years working experience in credit management or credit control environment
Knowledge and understanding of Contracts/Project Administration and the Billing Process
Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and statutory legislation (e.g. WSA, PFMA, MFMA, IFRS)
Computer Literate (e.g. MS Office Suite, Oracle,SAP-i.e. Project Billing; SD Module & Project system)
