COMMUNITY EDUCATION OFFICER
(HAYBAND–M)
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
To change the mindset of RWF projects end users towards water usage and environment conservation by
providing education to communities and institutions on water wise usage and care for community projects
infrastructure.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Liaising, monitoring and developing matrix for consultants doing educational activities on behalf of RW
Coordinating such projects with relevant stakeholders
Develop appropriate materials to be used to meet different targets
Obligation to reach communities through materials designed to meet specific needs and targets.
Compiling reports and feedbacks on all educational matters in the department
Appointing and managing consultants.
Planning of education activities in developing materials and promotional gifts on water aw
areness campaigns
Giving input on all educational activities run through CSI.
Meeting obligations of widely dispersed communities within the constraints of RW’s transport assistance policy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Water/S anitation/Environmental Studies.
Qualification in education/social science will be an advantage.
3-5 years working experience within the community development setting.
Valid driver’s license.

Sound knowledge and insight into environmental including water related issues.
Ability to educate or facilitate community educational projects.
Proven administrative,planning, financial and organizational capabilities.
Computer literacy.
Good writing,communication and presentation skills,especially in English and in atleast one local African language.

Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills at all levels.
Good presentation skills.
