PROJECT COORDINATOR:ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME

(HAYBAND–L)
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

To co-ordinate activities and requirements associated with Rand Water Foundation Environment Portfolio through the application of environment project management and the execution of sequence associated with the Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK).

PRIMARY DUTIES

Identification, conceptualization and planning of projects;
Carrying out preliminary project investigations and feasibility studies,
Completion of project implementation plans;
Monitoring and Evaluation
Ability to read and analyse Project rehabilitation plans and GIS( Geographic Information System).
Budget and cash flow planning;
Establish and train Project Advisory Committees (PAC);
Implementation and management of project activities and milestones;
Recruitment and management of project teams at ground root level;
Team development
Provide project variance reports to the Programme Manager
Provide monthly updates on the PAC meetings and other developments on the projects
Ensure compliance to the ISO9001 process;
Keep up to date files e.g. asset registers, enquiries, personnel details etc
Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals and report to the Programme Manager.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Track project milestones and deliverables.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results,and troubleshoot problem areas.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Coordinate all the Programme Manager’s meetings.
Timeous submission of Time Sheets, Monthly calendars and budget expenditure reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Senior/Grade 12 Certificate.
Certificate in Project Management
2 years’ experience in the environment related field.
Computer Literacy especially on line reporting
National Diploma in environment studies or related field will be an advantage
