JOB TITLE: B-BBEE MANAGER
Centurion
Position Purpose
The purpose of this role is to effectively operate within a best practice and process framework for Transformation. This in essence entails driving, monitoring, influencing and improving on the B-BBEE organisational processes and taking responsibility for the accurate compilation and packaging of reporting through key relationships with all stakeholders in support of the Transformation and MMI strategies, vision and values.
Experience & Qualifications
A relevant tertiary B.Com degree qualification is essential
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a B-BEE Consultant or Management role is essential.
Thorough knowledge of the socio economic context within South Africa will be an advantage/essential.
Knowledge of the revised Codes of Good Practice and its implications on corporations.
Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and the legislative universe it operates in will be an advantage.
Work Output
Perspective: Process
Collaborate with, and support the Head of Transformation to develop an appropriate Transformation strategy, Enterprise Supplier Development Strategy and implementation plan for MMI.
In partnership with various stakeholders contribute to the successful implementation of the MMI Group Transformation strategy.
Develop policies to support the delivery of the transformation strategy.
Identify gaps through a thorough data gathering, analysing and reporting process that provides intelligence that will influence the B-BBEE Target setting and strategic decision-making processes for the MMI group.
Implement, maintain, use effective technological platforms to certify BEE scorecard monitoring and reporting.
Manage and oversee the implementation of Group-wide projects aimed at achieving the Group’s B-BBEE targets.
Identify, appoint and manage the verification agencies of B-BBEE measurement and performance requirements at MMI level.
Participate in all tender processes to ensure the selection of suppliers in accordance with the Group’s Preferential Procurement policy and qualifying criteria.
Continuously monitor, drive and ensure compliance with the MMI Transformation policy, governance, relevant legislation and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage the Group’s B-BBEE audit process.
Ongoing reporting of the organisation’s standing on the various aspects of the scorecard.
Perspective: Finance
Take accountability for the B-BBEE component of the budget and ensure effective and efficient management of operational costs within budget.
Take accountability for the management of business related risks.
Perspective: Client Services
Build, manage and maintain relationships with relevant organisations to ensure in-depth knowledge of all B-BBEE legislation and regulations, as well as transformation developments to provide sound advice, informed service delivery and support within a legal and statutory reporting framework to the business and related stakeholders.
Proactively engage with all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of our transformation strategy.
Build, manage and maintain relationships with the members of associations and BEE champions.
Monitor external and internal client feedback to analyse, interpret and adapt the quality of the client experience.
Draw up and deliver on service level agreements with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and verification agents.
Ensure satisfactory resolution of all queries and problems.

Drive and ensure the execution of own personal development plan.
Drive key elements of a high performing team within the BEE Team.
Facilitate the development and learning of direct reports through providing the appropriate resources coupled with coaching and mentoring.
Coordinate and prioritise resource allocation across operational requirements.
Act as a change agent in driving the implementation of efforts to support business growth in alignment with our Organisational strategy.
