ROLE SUMMARY
•The File Assessor will be responsible for assessing patient files for accurate accounting with
Scale of Benefits and ARS Contracts as well as assisting the Quality Review department.
KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Administration :
•Assessment of patient files to ensure that all surgical, ethical, gases and equipment are recorded on account as per actual use
•Assessing of accommodation
•Final authorization of accounts
•Effective ICD and CPT Coding of patient accounts
•Application of ARS contracts
•Manage associated administrative tasks
•Any other duties assigned by the Billings Manager from time to time Personal and professional development:
•Assume responsibility for own personal and professional development
•Keep up to date with Netcare’s evolving policies and procedures
SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION
•Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
WORK EXPERIENCE
•Minimum of 3 years experience using Scale of Benefits and ARS contracts
•Private Hospital experience
•Preference will be given to Enrolled Nurses or Registered Nurses
KNOWLEDGE
•Computer literate
•Knowledge of managed healthcare principles
