    The above-mentioned position is currently available in the MRA Stakeholder Servicing department at our Momentum Retirement Administrators business unit based at our office in Nelspruit.

    The Incumbent will be responsible for:

    Death Claim Investigations
    •Liaising with clients on a one to one basis.
    •Liaising with members of funds: death in service.
    •Liaising with back office, i.e. death claims department about all
    requirements of a death in service e.g. benefit claim form, tax directive
    requirements, claiming of group life assurance requirements.
    •Travelling to areas of responsibility to verify and collect information needed
    to process a successful claim.
    •Being aware of the rules and guidelines of funds under administration.
    •Preparing a report on demise cases for presentation to Trustees at the
    Disposal of Death Benefit Committee on a monthly basis.
    •Preparing a report on inflow and outflow of death claims statistics for areas
    of responsibility & submit these reports to the Regional Manager
    Member Advisory Services
    •Providing relevant information to all members of funds under administration
    in preparation for all types of exits.
    •Arranging appointments for members seeking one on one consultation with
    our in house accredited and appointed Independent Financial Advisors.
    •Ensuring compliance to statutory laws such as the FAIS Act etc.
    •Keeping abreast with all requirements of the retirement industry as set out
    by the FSB,
    Member Education & Communication
    •Providing group presentations on fund issues, product design, benefits and
    procedures for all funds under administration in all business units in area of
    responsibility.
    •Providing employer presentations on requirements of all new and existing
    members.
    •Executing projects such as annual general meeting hosted by the trustees
    and fund transfers e.g. from Defined Benefit Fund to Defined Contribution
    Fund.
    •Providing induction workshops for new members.

    The applicant should meet these requirements:

    •Knowledge of the Retirement Fund industry will be an added advantage.
    •Grade 12 qualification is a minimum requirement.
    •COP on Retirement Funds or equivalent qualification.
    •Tertiary qualification preferably financial services industry.
    •3- 5 years retirement fund industry.
    •Knowledge of the Pension Fund Legislations.
    •Good knowledge of Section 37C of the Pension Fund Act.
    •Exposure to the Financial Advisory Intermediary Services environment.
    •Strong customer services background.
    •Must be able to communicate in two of three official regional languages,
    which are Xhosa, English and Afrikaans.
    •Relevant drivers Licence.
    •Good interpersonal skills.
    •Both written and verbal communication skills.
    •Good organizational skills.
    •Ability to immediately package problem situations and take appropriate
    decisions in terms of delegated authority.
    •Ability to work independently without close supervision.
    •skills – Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email Computer
    •Analytical ability.
    •Strong Administrative skills.
