    Introduction

    Metropolitan Health has in excess of 3 million lives under management andis the largest medical aid scheme administrator in South Africa. Thisopportunity exists for a dynamic and results driven professional who is passionate about quality and service delivery.

    The Incumbent will be responsible for:

    Developing and maintaining information delivery devices that will ensure the provision of relevant and quality information to the Business Unit and clients

    Designing, implementing and maintenance of data marts within a data warehouse environment to support reporting requirements

    Developing of a range of management reports, dashboards and Business Intelligence utilities for timeous distribution of information to various stakeholders

    Assisting in the management of data or information flow out of the department

    Extracting organisational data and presentation of required data for statistical analysis

    Writing ad hoc SQL queries to support both business operational and informational needs

    The applicant should meet these requirements:

    A Matric or equivalent

    A Degree or Diploma in information Systems

    A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a data warehouse environment

    In depth knowledge and experience of SQL Scripts and the ability to read and modify existing SQL scripts

    Proven working experience with MS Excel (Macro Level) and MS Access

    Working experience or knowledge of a Change Control environment

    Previous exposure to one or more of the following: VBA, Cognos PowerPlay, Sybase and/or MS SQL Server

    The ability to identify errors and non-sequential data

    Additional Requirements

    Experience with or at least knowledge of Business Intelligence tools ( e.g. Cognos)

    Experience in the medical aid industry
