Job Title     Configurer III – SAP HR
Job Type Classification     Permanent
Location - Town / City     Brackenfell, Cape Town
Location - Province     Western Cape
Location - Country     South Africa
Purpose     The creation of new and amended configurations from supplied specifications to meet business process and information requirements. Support to users within area of responsibility.
Qualifications    
• Professional Qualification Level 6 or equivalent knowledge and skills

Desirable

• 3Yr Diploma/ Degree in Information Systems
Experience    
• (4 - 6 Years) SAP Configuration experience (HR modules)
• (2 - 3 Years) experience as SAP Configurer II (CM)
Knowledge     Essential

• Knowledge of SAP HR modules (Payroll & PA)
• Knowledge of SDLC



Desirable

• Other HR modules desirable (benefits etc.)
Skills    
•Ability to create and document complex configurations from business requirements
•Ability to meet dead-lines
•Knowledge and understanding of the application system environment
•Ability to configure at module and system level
•Ability to work alone on complex requirements within area of responsibility and within a
team

Tasks and activities:
Create complex configurations to meet business process requirements and to achieve a well configured result
Amend configurations for modules and systems in accordance with the requirements and standards
Plan, create and conduct unit tests of configurations; correcting errors and re-test to achieve an error-free result
Document all work in accordance with agreed standards
Take part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work
Provide expert advice in some or all aspects of the configuration methods, tools and/or
standards used in the organisation
Evaluate and review configuration methods and tools in the organisationTo support and enhance the existing implementation (incident resolution)
Coach junior staff
