Tshwane University of Technology has a permanent position of Junior Lecturer/ Lecturer (Pharmaceutical Sciences) at the Arcadia Campus.

Key Performance Areas:

•    Teaching and Learning in the integrated, thematic, problem-based Bachelor of Pharmacy programme and the Bachelor of Technology Pharmaceutical Sciences programme.
•    Leading role in developing and revising the curriculum in collaboration with industry stakeholders and aligned to the strategic vision of the department
•    Participation in a research group with particular emphasis on the training and supervision of postgraduate students.
•    Ability to attract external funding for research and to be a leader in one of the research niche areas of the department.
•    Liaising with industry and other stakeholders regarding excursions, research and community projects.
•    Participation and administrative leadership in departmental, faculty and institutional committees and activities relating to the learning programmes of the department.

Minimum Requirements:

Lecturer

•    A relevant master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences or pharmacy with a Bachelor of Pharmacy.
•    At least three years’ experience in teaching, research or industry.
•    A qualification in Education will be a strong recommendation.
•    Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council is recommended but not essential

Junior Lecturer

•    A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
•    At least one year experience in teaching, research or industry.
•    A qualification in Education will be a strong recommendation.
•    Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council is recommended but not essential
