Tshwane University of Technology has a permanent position of Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer (Community Health) at the Pretoria Campus.
Key Performance Areas:
• To teach Community Health subjects to B Tech Nursing students
• To participate in Curriculum Development activities
• Will be expected to actively participate in research and community engagement
• activities
• Liaise with industry on subject level regarding curricula, excursions, research and
• innovation
• Liaison with various stakeholders e.g. SANC, Department of Health, Public and
• Private Sectors, industry, etc
• Participate in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional activities
• Responsible for administrative tasks relating to the learning programmes of the department
Minimum Requirements:
Senior Lecturer
• At least a relevant doctoral degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• An additional qualification in Nursing Education.
• Registered at the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Community
• Health Nurse
• Teaching experience in nursing is a requirement
• Five (5) years of teaching, research and/or industry experience.
• Previous postgraduate supervision
Lecturer
• At least a relevant Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• An additional qualification in Nursing Education.
• Registered at the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Community
• Health Nurse
• Teaching experience in nursing is a requirement
• Three (3) years of teaching, research and/or industry experience.
