Requirements
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s of the post.
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Finance, Supply Chain Management and Financial Systems.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Competent in MS Word and Excel.
Appropriate experience and knowledge of LOGIS and BAS.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and the Accounting Officer System.
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Capture, compile and process payments, including accurate SCOA allocations.
Compile, capture and file journals.
Budget and expenditure control.
Clearing of asset and liability accounts.
Manage debtor accounts.
Control of petty cash and face value forms.
Year-end and In-Year Monitoring (monthly).
