Introduction:
A vacancy exists for a Porter, based at Cosmos Hospital, reporting to Henriette Harris, Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of patients to and from the casualty.
Critical Outputs:
Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
Ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction according to Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare Standards.
Effective risk management of the unit by complying with Health, Safety and Infection Control policies and procedures.
Effective participation in the management of costs in the unit (stock, staffing and equipment).
Requirements:
Grade 12
- Working experience in the hospital environment would be an advantage.
- Eperience in dealing with people.
- Knowledge of hospital procedures.
- Team player
- Must be willing to work according to the flexi-hour system including night duty.
- Position includes working shifts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
