Engineering Training Instructor Job at ATNS in Kempton Park


Instructor: Engineering Training (ATM Information Technology)
Applications are invited for the position of Instructor: Engineering Training (ATM Information Technology) based at the Aviation Training Academy. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Manager: Engineering Training.
Major activities:
•    Present training
•    Undertake research
•    Perform course re-engineering/development
•    Design and maintain Instructor Training Material
•    Make training assessments
•    Compile course reports
•    Be involved in engineering training components/equipment/systems - acquisition/maintenance/custody.
Minimum qualifications:
•    National Diploma in Electronic Engineering (M+3) granting admission to the Engineering Council of SA as an Engineering Technician or Technologist
•    BSc degree in IT/IS/Engineering - Light Current will be advantageous
•    Train the Trainer qualification from an approved institution
•    OJTI from an approved institution
•    National Assessor qualification from an approved institution.
Minimum experience:
•    5 years' experience in the operation, maintenance and support of ATM - IT Systems, which include advanced technology IT in CNS systems and equipment
•    1 year's experience in specialist software, especially in Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems
•    1 year's experience in training presentation, course design and maintenance/support of ATM - IT training systems/equipment.
Desired knowledge and experience:
o    Conversant in MCSE and/or MCSA
o    Experience in testing and calibration of appropriate ATM systems and equipment as governed by ICAO standards and recommendations
o    Experience with licensing procedures as required by ICASA.
