Job Title:     Maintenance assistant

Introduction:     A vacancy exists for a Maintenance Assistant at Life Eugene Marais Hospital in Pretoria, reporting to the Maintenance officer.

Critical Outputs:     Minor electrical repairs.
General light industrial fitting, including welding.
Building maintenance, carpentry and painting.
Supervise the daily inspection of medical gas alarm system and recording of medical
gasses.
Supervise the daily inspection of vacuum pumps and medical air compressors.
Follow up maintenance schedule for air conditioning and filters.


Requirements:     Good knowledge of electrical / mechanical installations and maintenance thereof.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
An ability to complete tasks timeously and accurately an be able to work under pressure.
Perform sleep-in standby duties.
Eager to learn new systems and to accept work challenges.
Adhere to the OHSA acts.
Preferably be in possession of a valid drivers license.
Be a self starter and have the ability to work independently.
