REQUIREMENTS:
A Grade 12 with relevant clerical or admin experience in Finance environment PLUS the following key competencies:
- Knowledge of Accounting principles Understanding of the PFMA
- Understanding of Treasury Regulations
- General budgeting principals Skills
- Computer literate in MS Excel, Ms Word
- Numerical and analytical skills
- Good writing skills
- Results orientated and self-driven
- Ability to work under pressure
- Communication: Good communication skills (verbal and writing)
- Ability to interact with several levels of staff
- Creativity
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to ability to work under pressure Spreadsheets and databases
DUTIES/KRA’s:
- Request BAS reports and compile cash flow statements (budget and Expenditure control statements)
- Maintain existing and new budget files and filling system
- Capture budget adjustments on BAS (shifting of funds, virement approvals, roll-over funds, AENE allocations)
- Compile tables and capture data during annual budget processes (MTEF, ENE and AENE, roll-over)Assist with secretarial support to Finance Committee
RECOMMENDATION/ NOTE:
Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Accounting/Commerce will be an added advantage
