The role:

The Instrumentation Mechanician is responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the Instrumentation department. The role requires a degree of competence in instrumentation used in highly automated mining division. The role is further responsible to ensure that all systems are maintained and optimised to ensure that the capacity to the production process is maximized

Core work outputs:

    Standardized control solution utilizing the best practices as outlined by the Instrumentation department
    Adherence to all systems and procedures as required by Anglo Platinum
    Perform standby duty and work extended hours when required
    All instrumentation in mining division.

    All interface junction boxes
    Control Solution performance management including:
    The mining equipment availability
    Control Solution systems and procedures:
    Change control procedures
    Adherence to all systems and procedures as required by Anglo Platinum

 Required abilities:

     N2 Certificate
     2 years applicable experience
     Anglo Platinum recognized trade test
     Computer literacy
     English literate
     Valid driving license code 08

Physical Requirements

    Required aptitudes
    Medically fit
    Fit for movement around business area
    Hand/ eye co-ordination
    Not colour blind
