Administrative Officer Job at Department of Cooperative Governance in Pretoria

JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Chief Directorate: Finance
SALARY:R170 799 per annum
CENTRE:Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS:
Appropriate 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with experience
in asset management and a
n accounting background.

Core competencies:
Knowledge management.
Problem-solving and analysis.
Client orientation and customer focus.
Communication. Honesty and integrity.

Technical competencies:
Knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and Asset Management
Framework. Asset management. Supply chain management and systems such as LOGIS and BAS.

DUTIES:
Ensure maintenance of the Departmental asset register in terms of: Bar coding the new assets Capturing the assets in the asset register Updating the register
when the movement is taking place and also when assets are disposed of Asset
verification Analysing and determining values and updating them.
Assist in monthly asset reconciliation between LOGIS and BAS.
Identify discrepancies and facilitate in resolving the discrepancies.
Advise client/business units on the process of asset management.
Assist in the asset reconciliation between the asset register and the verification report
