Job Title: Organisation and Systems consultant

Main Purpose:

Assist with day to day operations to ensure the accuracy, validity and completeness of the Maconomy system;

Assist with projects and finance operations where required.

Responsibilities/Output:

Key Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Maintenance of Maconomy master file data;

Perform daily tasks and manual interface of PeopleSoft data to Maconomy;

Test functionality, accuracy and completeness of new components, reports, software upgrades and software fixes;

Assist with system upgrades and implementations;

Investigate and resolve queries referred by the Helpdesk, e.g. which tasks to use on timesheets or user security access;

Assist with take-on of any new PwC mergers/acquisitions;

Documentation of Maconomy and PwC Finance policies, processes and procedures;

Assist with the creation and maintenance of Maconomy training material, e.g. computer-based training modules;

Conduct user training when required;

Create and communicate instructions and information to Finance teams and users of new functionality and reports, system downtime, as well as changes to existing functionality and policies and procedures;

Compile Maconomy communication informing Finance Partners/Managers of proposed changes to Maconomy functionality and request their input in terms thereof; Maintain a library of Maconomy and PwC Finance communication on a platform which allows all users access to copies of the communication and templates for reference or operational purposes;

Assist with project management and project office function;

Perform and assist with certain finance activities when required;

Day to day administration requirements (e.g. timesheets, leave requests, etc).

Experience Required: 2 - 4 years

Competencies / Skills:

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

BCom Informatics/BCompt degree

Minimum 3 years experience in an operational finance environment

Minimum 2 years testing and documenting of financial software Required Skills Fully computer literate Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (e.g. macros and Visual Basic for Excel) and Word.

A good accounting knowledge

Training or presentation experience

Experience in a support and testing role

Project management experience
