Analyst Developer: Documentum

The role

Advance development of application software. Consult with the Business Analysts regarding functional requirements in order to fully understand the business requirements. Consult with the Architects regarding the technical specifications to ensure understanding. Ensure on-time delivery of code. Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure the smooth transfer of code from development to QA. Responsible for source control within development team.

The requirements

    National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
    Relevant IT qualification
    At least 5 years’ relevant design and development experience
    Must have proven knowledge of and experience in:
        Documentum xCP version 1.6 – at least 1 year development experience
        Technical fundamentals of Documentum and xCP
        Knowledge of underlying modules of Documentum
        Java Enterprise Edition
        Relational Databases
        UML
        OO Development Methodologies
        SOA Design and Implementation
        Design Patterns and Best Practices

    Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
        JBOSS Enterprise
        MS SQL Server 2008
        Webservices (XML and SOAP messaging)
        Understanding of financial systems and procedures
        SVN

    Communication skills (verbal and written) in English
    Relationship management skills
    Analytical and problem solving skills
    Attention to technical detail
    Sense of ownership
    Demonstrate initiative and proactive attitude
    Ability to multi-task
    Ability to work under pressure
    Adaptable
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Coaching and mentoring of developers
    Clear criminal and credit record
