Pharmacy Stock Clerk Job at Netcare in Sandton

Role Title: Pharmacy Stock Clerk
Location: St Annes Hospital
Reporting structure: Pharmacy Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Stock Clerk is responsible for the receiving of stock, capturing of goods received onto the Netcare stock system, collating and filing corresponding documents and producing bar-code labels. Also responsible for capturing of ward charge sheets.

KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Data capture of stock
  • Receive stock delivered to the pharmacy
  • Packing of stock according to replenishment list
  • Attending to ward queries
  • Assisting in collating information forward movement of stock
  • Assist with pharmacy front counter duties
  • Maintain stock and responsible for stock management in selected areas
  • Do monthly cyclical counts.
  • Assist in stock take
  • Identify slow moving stock, or near expiry date stock for return to supplier
  • Available for shift work, part of the stock rotation team on weekend roster
SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Computer literate.

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience with medical / pharmaceutical goods is essential.
  • Previous stock management experience essential.
  • Maintaining a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge by keeping abreast of current development and trends in the medical related field impacting on the post.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others by establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
