Job Title:     Pharmacist Assistant
Function:     Pharmacy
Facility:     Life Eugene Marais Hospital, Tshwane


Introduction:    
The above positions  has become vacant at Life Eugene Marais Hospital. The successful candidates will report to the Senior Pharmacist.

Critical Outputs:    
Processing of prescriptions and credits.
Perform duties as per scope of practice as prescribed by the South African Pharmacy Council.
Issuing of ethical stock to all ward and theatre.
Ordering and unpacking of ethical stock.
Participate in stock takes and cycle counts.
Procurement, control and distribution of pharmaceutical stock.
Retail prescriptions.
Front shop sales.
Be prepared to work weekends and after hours as per duty roster.

Requirements:    
Registration as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the South African Pharmacy Council.
Experience in hospital pharmacy would be an advantage.
Computer literacy is an essential requirement and a knowledge CKS or Pharms would be an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills are important as good relationships with doctors, hospital staff and suppliers are essential.
Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
