Job Title: Tax Consultant

Main Purpose:

Supporting the Indirect Tax Technology team.

Responsibilities/Output:

     Involved in various tasks associated with practice development;
    Involved in marketing activities;
    Assist in managing indirect tax technology projects;
    Developing client relationships;
    Processing data and information and applying accounting skills;
    Perform data analysis and applying indirect tax technical skills;
    Data exception management;
    Ensure project deadlines are met;
    Managing billings, debtors and assignment budgeting;
    Complying with risk management procedures.

Qualification Level: General Degree    
Additional Qualification Level: n/a
Experience Required: 3 - 4 years

Competencies / Skills:

    Degree preferably in Accounting or equivalent by experience.
    At least 3 years of relevant experience in indirect tax or accounting.
    Dynamic individual to fulfill an integral role in developing the indirect tax technology practice.
    Demonstrates individual initiative in contributing to the development of the practice.
    Ability to take ownership of projects and produce a high-standard deliverable.
    Profound numerical & analytical skills and a technical mind, well organized, solution driven, ability to multi-task and good attention to detail.
    Good communication & interpersonal skills.
    Team player with ability to work autonomous in a customer-driven and results oriented environment.
    Excellent English language skills (oral and in writing).
    Working knowledge of common software applications (MS Office/Lotus Notes, PowerPoint & Excel).
    Knowledge of analytic software/ACL is a plus.
    Knowledge of major ERP/Accounting systems is a plus
