Responsibilities:
• Lecturing in the subject of Public Management and Administration
• Supervising master’s degree and/or PhD students
• Compiling study guides for different modules
• Research in order to publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Community engagement or service
• Marketing and recruiting students
Minimum requirements:
• Lecturer: At least a master’s degree in Public Management and Administration
• One year’s experience in a higher-education institution
• Senior Lecturer: At least a PhD degree in Public Management and Administration
• Three years’ experience in teaching at a tertiary-education institution and/or practical experience in the field of law
• Knowledge of public management and administration discipline content (public policy analysis, public leadership, public performance management, etc.)
• Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Skills in report writing
Total remuneration package:Lecturer: R251 306 – R318 397/Senior Lecturer: R313 703 – R397 280 per annum – employer contributions in respect of benefits included
COMMENCEMENT OF DUTIES: 1 March 2014
