Job Title:Solution Designer (C5) X4 Positions
Reports to:
Manager: Solution Design

Summation:
The successful candidate will be responsible to design, provide and document solution designs, prescribe quality goals that meet the outlined requirements as in the business requirement specification. The incumbent will further be responsible to maintain business solution specification(s), quality assures the end product against the business solution specification and quality goals and assists in the implementation and activation of the system for use by the system owner.

Key Responsibilities:
Managerial and Administrative
•Write reports
•Administrate projects and manage documents
•Present results
•Renders project support and support handover Systems Analysis and Modelling
•Conduct requirements research
•Ensure effective design and quality assurance of solutions
•Conduct cost-benefit analysis
•Document solutions
•Maintain requirements and business solution specifications and related documents
•Model solutions using appropriate tools
•Determine and document quality goals and measurement criteria for the solutions
•Apply appropriate modelling and design techniques
•Design for high performance systems and apply performance tuning techniques as required
•Apply technical relationship management with all relevant software suppliers
•Perform acceptance testing support and training / mentoring

Minimum Requirements:
•B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems (NQF Level 6) or Equivalent Qualification
•Minimum of 2 years in Solutions Design OR 5 years in a Software Engineering / Development role Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus Or in a Technical or IT support role
•Minimum of 5 years in a Technical or IT Support role
•Valid Code B Driving Licence
•Both technical (development software, systems development) and business analysis background and management experience
•Good working knowledge of multi-tiered enterprise systems
•Understanding of systems engineering processes, database technologies and design
•Understanding of software architecture methodologies, design techniques and their application
•Knowledge of the applicable business domain, relevant processes and standards and the infrastructure environment and
operations of the applicable business systems will be a benefit
•Knowledge of end-to-end business system design and verification
