Job Title:Senior Engineering / Technician (on a Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2014)

Salary:R204 672 per annum (all inclusive package)

Minimum Requirements:

    Relevant tertiary qualifications
    Computer literacy
    Valid driver's license
    Extensive knowledge of all relevant trades in the building industry

Core Responsibilities:

    Maintain all municipal buildings in the region
    Manage and control personnel
    Monitor asset register of all plant, equipment, tools, vehicle and materials
    Monitor and control the financial costing of plant, material, transport, and personnel of internal staff and contractors
    Maintain admin procedures
    Enforce Occupational Health and Safety Act and Municipal policy
    Enforce industry standards of municipal buildings
    Obtain quotations to purchasing material
    Compile the day to day specifications for executing maintenance work
