Requirements:
Grade 8/9/10 or equivalent qualification. Basic knowledge of
Technical work. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to perform routine tasks.
Duties:
To render minor and routine technical work in the institution.
Handle minor and routine technical work.
Repair minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, fit and install minor equipment.
Attend to institutional minor renovations such as painting, repairing of cracked walls as well as repairing appliances.
Attend to heating, air conditioning, electrical and fire systems.
Repair water reticulation system, broken, windows, toilet flash systems, valves and stopcocks.
Repair doors, locks, general maintenance items including cutting keys and locks.
Prepare fill ins and storing of gas cylinders for the institution.
Replace empty cylinders in wards of the institution.
Receive and assess routine maintenance requests and action them.
Conduct routine inspection to identify faults. Inspect, test and maintain the electrical lighting and equipment.
Check electrical and Water reading.
