The role

Responsible for producing comprehensive technical specifications from business requirements. Assist the BA to ensure that the functional design offers a technical viable solution and address the business requirements. Design technical test plans and provide guidelines to facilitate performance and stress testing. Continuous business and industry research to guide the critical evaluation of architectural and design patterns & principles.

Please note there are three positions available.
The requirements

    National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
    A relevant 3 year degree / diploma in IT or relevant experience
    Post-graduate degree / diploma would be advantageous
    At least 7 years’ proven experience as Architect in Internet and Mobile channels with specific reference to:
        Graphical User Interface implementation
        Internet and mobile security implementation
        API (Application Programming Interface), database design and implementation
        System performance, penetration and stress testing
        Research and development of new technology trends
    Must have detailed knowledge of:
        System architecture (technical design and implementation processes)
        Systems analysis and design
        UML or equivalent modelling language
        Technical Test Plan Design
        IT systems development processes
        Application development
        Standards and governance
    Detailed knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
        Banking systems
        Agile development life cycle
        Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA)
        Object Orientated Development environment (i.e. Java, Spring Framework, JBoss)
    Communication skills (written and verbal) in English
    Interpersonal / Relationship management skills
    Negotiation and influencing
    Facilitation
    Presentation skills
    Analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
    Business acumen
    Process and organizational thinking
