Job Title: Online Content Producer
Location: e.tv Online Department in Cape Town

Reporting to the e.tv Online Manager and Online Editor your key performance areas include:

             Write original and compelling entertainment content
             Conduct interviews and write feature and news articles on a regular basis for the site
             Rewrite copy from publicity department for the website
             Manage movie and show pages and rewrite show info copy
             Sub-edit copy and rewrite headlines and intro copy
             Manage, upload, update and schedule content in a Drupal CMS
             Manage comments
             Originate content ideas and apply them
             Daily maintenance and monitoring of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Mxit
             Source, edit and upload images
    

Requirements:

             Relevant tertiary education with a journalism, English, Media Studies or related degree
             Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ journalism experience preferably online journalism
             Experience writing for online
             Exceptional flair for writing and editing in English
             Excellent sub-editing skills and ability to write catchy headlines
             Understanding of digital media
             Experience working on an online CMS
             Experience with Photoshop and basic picture editing, knowledge of photo journalism a plus
             Sound editorial judgment and a gossip and entertainment news hound
             Well-organized
             Strong people and time management skills
             Ability to thrive under pressure
