Mid-level Digital Designer

The role

The successful candidate will work alongside the production coordinator and senior designer/art director in diverse work that will range from marketing communication to retail space branding.
The requirements

    Requirements
    National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
    A relevant degree/diploma in Design with strong DTP skills, specifically Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator CS6
    At least 6 – 8 years’ experience in advertising and/or communications environment with specific exposure to/experience in an advertising agency/internal studio environment
    Proven exposure to a variety of brands, brand work and/or retail accounts
    Portfolio of work that showcases your skills
    DTP Finished Art and Layout
    Able to work across ATL and BTL
    Able to rollout concepts accurately
    An indepth knowledge of repro and print
    Retouching (including colour correction, masking and comping as needed)
    Supplying print ready artwork
    Manage backup system
    Ability to deal with Creative and Art Directors in a professional and respectful manner at all times
    Understanding of and ability to work within CI guidelines
    Excellent attention to detail
    Exceptional writing and communication skills
    Ability to think creatively
    Willingness to share expertise with colleagues
    Deadline-driven
    Consistency
    Able to work under pressure (comfortable in a busy environment)
    Communication skills (verbal and written) in English
    Computer literacy (Apple Mac & PC platforms, MS Office and industry standard software i.e. Adobe Creative Suite 6)
    Certain physical disabilities (i.e. being colour blind) would exclude an individual from this role
