Writer/Producer

Location: eNCA Africa Department in Johannesburg


Reporting to the Africa Editor, your key performance areas will include:

    Monitoring the wire services and news feeds for the latest news on Africa
    Working on the news desk write scripts for news inserts and illustrate the story visually in video editing
    Setting up guests to be interviewed during the various bulletins
    Assisting in crafting intros and cues for anchors in studio

Requirements:

    Should have at least 3 years broadcasting experience
    Excellent command of the English language
    Excellent writing skills
    Good editorial judgement and interpretational skills
    Ability to work under pressure making deadlines
    Willingness to work irregular and long hours
    Note: the successful candidate will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
