Logistics Coordinator

Location: eNCA Africa Department in Johannesburg


Reporting to the Africa Editor, your key performance areas will include:

    Supervise the workflow of video editors ensuring that all inserts to be edited are ready for broadcast within deadline
    Ensure that all inserts for Africa bulletins are backed up on tape and delivered to the gallery in time for broadcast
    Coordinate all incoming feeds liaising with field reporters, producers, stringers and fixers across the continent
    Keep the input and output editors, reporters and producers informed of all incoming material
    Ensure that all recordings of Africa bulletin broadcasts are delivered to archive
    Make bookings for SNG and other live crossing for Africa bulletins

Requirements:

    Should have at least 2 years television broadcasting experience
    Must have working knowledge of broadcast systems and workflow
    Should have excellent organisational abilities
    Ability to work under pressure making deadlines
    Note: the successful candidate will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
