The Division of Clinical Pharmacology has an active research programme in clinical and preclinical pharmacokinetics and drug analysis, with a well-equipped and staffed analytical laboratory. We are looking to maximize the academic output of this facility by appointing a Senior Lecturer to teach and supervise laboratory-based postgraduate students at the Honours, Masters and PhD levels, primarily in the area of pharmacokinetics and drug analysis and undertake research in this field.

Requirements:

•    A PhD in Pharmacology
•    An active research background in clinical and preclinical pharmacokinetics and drug analysis
•    Experience in drug analysis using LC tandem mass spectrometry is essential
•    Experience in conducting pharmacokinetic analyses for regulated studies will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

•    Co-ordination of the Clinical Pharmacology coursework Masters programme.
•    Teaching and project supervision of Pharmacology Honours students.
•    Teaching and supervision of PhD and Masters students
•    Training of staff and students in drug analysis using LC tandem mass spectrometry
•    Depending on experience, the successful applicant may be requested to take a leadership role in the NIH-funded International Pharmacology Specialty Laboratory housed within the Division
